  • Hullo Wembley Ware collectors. I am in possession of my Dad’s shaving mug. It is marked as Wembley Ware, Olympics 1956, Australian Native white/cream in colour. I am located in Perth WA and happy to receive a message on this forum.

    • Hi Jeanette – you best bet for information as you are in Perth is to pop down to Subi (Wembley Ware Week) on Saturday and ask one of the collectors on the Wembley Ware stall.
If that is not available ask your specific questions on the board here and I will endeavour to answer them for you, or you could alternatively, email me direct at
      tinkandmo@westnet.com.au

  • I have a gilded eagle ashtray in good condition. Can’t see one here on this site but does anyone know what it may be worth? Cheers!

    • Hi Col – my suggestion would be to have a start price of $80 – $100 ( if you are putting it on ebay) if selling privately try for $150 this is only a guide line – otherwise ring an antique shop – see how much they would give you for it and then at least double what they have told you.
      Hope this helps

  • Hi Wendy,
We would love them for our collection but it is a bit far to pick up as we are in country W.A………
I will email around to the Sydney collectors and see what I can find out.
Keep an eye posted in 3 – 4 days in this spot and I may have something for you.
    Kind thoughts Lee

    • Thanks Lee – hopefully someone out there would like to give these orphan sundae dishes a loving home.

    • Hi Wendy – no luck I am afraid with the Sydney collectors.
I wish you all the best – perhaps give them to a museum or a local shop that may display them for 50′s 60′s

  • Hi, I’m a new collector of Wembley and I’m trying to find information about the various impress stamps. Can anyone give me some pointers? I have a mortal fear of buying fakes!

    Thanks in advance
    Kristi

    • Hi Kristi On the right hand side of this page you will see where it says All Categories, if you click on the select categories a drop down menu will appear and there is a backstamp page with examples. Happy collecting

  • Hello, I am selling a Wembley Lizard Plate and wondered if anyone in your society would be interested before I put it on Gumtree or Ebay. I would like $250 or near offer. The plate is in perfect condition. Regards Lynn 0411 357 411

  • could someone tell me what a Wembley wall eagle in perfect undamaged condition would be worth

    • Hi Sue – I would say from $1500 upwards – it all depends on how many people want one as to where it would go from there.

  • I have been given a piece to sell for a freind, it has a black Wembley ware printed stamp on the reverse, its a beige/fawn rabbit on a lettuce plate and the entire piece has a lovely lustre. There is one tiny little flea bite/chip on the edge of the lettuce.
The only one I have seen in lustre was sold for $140, does this price seem overly high? She is not out to make a killing, just to get a good price for the piece

    Regards

    Liz

    • Hello Liz. The rabbit platter is a lovely piece although it is not one of the rare pieces of Wembley Ware. You will see some for sale on eBay quite frequently and there you will get a good guide of the prices being acheived. I think $140.00 might be a bit high for an item with damage, but prices do fluctuate, and the ‘value’ is just what someone is prepared to pay for it at the time. Kind regards, Susan

  • While packing up the home of a elderly relative who died I found 6 Wembley Ware dessert bowls that I didn’t just want to throw out or give to the Salvos. They are all different colours – 4 are in good condition – 2 have damage – they are a “lotus” shape and I think they are what is called a Lustre Harlequin Set. Do you know anyone who would be interested in them? I am located in Sydney.

    • Hi Wendy there are some listed on ebay at the moment under Wembley Ware – you would get an idea of how much interest there is and the price.
      Good luck
      Lee

      • Thanks for the reply Lee – I don’t want any money for them – just for them to go to someone who might like them. If anyone is interested in them they can leave a message on this forum. I am located in southern Sydney and work the Bankstown area if someone would like to pick them up.

    • Hi Wendy, I know this is probably a long shot but just wondering if you ever did anything with the wembley ware dessert bowls you found.
